Mstar 6A938是电视芯片制造商Mstar(晨星)推出的2016年最新旗舰级电视芯片“极光”的具体型号。熟悉电视配置的朋友多少都会听说过“Mstar”这个芯片品牌,“Mstar”是最大的全球电视芯片生产商,事实上,据称全球50%以上的智能电视都采用Mstar芯片,包括一些国外一线品牌。6A938是上一代6A928芯片的升级产品,也是2016年Mstar的旗舰芯片,这款Mstar 6A938采用了目前最新的Cortex-A72CPU(上一代6A928芯片采用Cortex-A17 CPU),且采用了Mstar CoreTurbo真多核驱动引擎GPU方面则采用了Mali T820,使得4K条件下的游戏、UI最高可达60FPS另一方面,6A938采用96bit的DDR4内存,频率可达2.4GHz。从参数上我们可以看到6A938相比前一代6A928芯片,在CPU、GPU和内存上都有了不小提升,而在实际跑分方面,从目前曝光的数据看,6A938的CPU性能比上一代提高86%,总分提高40%。有评论文章称Mstar 6A938就是手机界的高通820。Amlogic,也就是晶晨半导体,与手机中定位中低端产品的MTK一样,其产品多在电视机顶盒、电视盒子等产品上使用,例如我们熟悉的小米盒子、天猫魔盒、乐视盒子等,很多都是用的Amlogic的芯片。Amlogic T966在2015年第四季度就已经发布,同时发布的还有T968。T966这个SOC芯片中分别使用了4核A53 CPU,Mali T830 MP2,并使用了64位设计,支持4K H.265@60fps 10-bit和HDR10解码。表面数据看上去很美么?但实际上CPU单元的4核Cortex-A53定位只是中低端,因为晶体管数量少,制造工艺简单。与Mstar 6A938处理器来对比的话,其CPU单元包含2核Cortex-A72和2核Cortex-A53,一颗Cortex-A72核心面积相当于4个A53核心的面积。一个6A938就相当于8个A53(2个A72核心)+2个A53的配置,等于10核A53。
