经北青报记者实验，尚不能发现买机票最便宜的时间点，因为机票价格好像并无统一的规律可循，各个平台及航线的价格都有所区别。

虽然已经对凌晨买机票最便宜的说法进行了反驳，不过也有另一种说法是早上买机票最便宜，据称有些网站早上放票。不过，早上的价格也并非是一天中最低的。

如12日搜索目标日北京至布宜诺斯艾利斯的价格，飞猪早上的价格是4606元，但其余时间有4411元的低价票，携程早上的价格4880元，其余时候会有4817元等价格的机票。因此，早上机票最便宜的说法也不绝对。

在实验中北青报记者发现，国内航班的价格，各平台的票价都几乎相同，如北京到上海的航班，一直维持在540元，各平台的价格较为一致。

马蜂窝有时会送“券”，优惠10元以内的价格，不过基础票价都是统一的。北京到成都的价格在12日查询时也比较一致，稳定在590元。

在国际短途航线中，一些平台提供转机方案，会有更加优惠的价格，不过耗时也会增加不少，直飞航线各家最低价格有所差别，但幅度也多在几十元左右。如北京至首尔，目标日的直飞价格在1106元到1156元不等。
