首先浏览一下全文，给文章分类：记叙文？议论文？说明文或者其它类的。

根据文章的题材确定背记的框架。

记叙文有时间地点人物事件，议论文有论点是什么，用了哪些论据。

英语文章通常段落的第一句话就是该段落的topic sentence ，记住主题句，该段落的内容就大致记住了。

再有就是会断句。

英语的句式表达千变万化不离主要的五种句法结构。

以句号为准，分析这个句子的主要句法结构，也就是抓住了句子的主干，然后看用了哪些短语，形容词副词等来修饰。

这样就基本上理解吃透了你要背记的文章了，再多读几遍就ok了。
