This reference design is an automotive, 400-W, phaseshiftedfull-bridge converter which enables a 36-V to60-V DC input and 12-V output. The enhanced phaseshiftedfull-bridge controller implements programmabledelays which ensure zero voltage switching (ZVS) overa wide range of operating conditions. The outputimplements synchronous rectification, which enablesfast transient response and a high loop bandwidth.
The system regulates 12 V at no load with less than100 mW of standby power. Pseudo isolation isachieved through a transformer to prevent the 48-Vbattery from being shorted to the secondary side. Thehalf-bridge gate drivers can withstand a maximum bootvoltage of 120-V DC.
