二、比较级 "比……(快，好等等)", "胜过、超过"

结构：　比较级形容词或副词 + than
You are taller than I
They lights in your room are as bright as those in mine
He is more clever than his brother

请注意副词比较的形式，特别要注意比较的对象，即什么和什么相比。

He makes fewer mistakes now than last term (比较的对象是 now 与 last term )
The plant grows better in summer than in winter (比较的对象是 in summer 与 in winter )
It is easier to make a plan than to carry it out (比较的对象是 make a plan 与 to carry it out )
三、最高级 "最好的、最快的、最大的等等"
结构：　the + 最高级 + 比较范围
The Sahara is the biggest desert in the world
Changjiang is the longest river in China
I like this book best among my books I have
注意：形容词最高级前通常必须用定冠词 the，如果不用the, 可能是其它的意思而不是最高级。
例如：
This is the most important problem than we must solve now (最高级)
This is a most important problem (这是一个非常重要的问题。) (不是最高级)

2、最高级前可用　by far, far, much, mostly, almost　等词表示加强程度。
例如：
This hat is nearly / almost the biggest
四、和more有关的词组
more这个词，除了用于比较级之外，它还有许多固定词组和习惯搭配，特提出来供大家参考。
1、the more… the more…　越……就越……
　 The harder you work，the greater progress you'll make
2、more B than A　与其说A不如说B
　 less A than B
　 He is more lazy than slow at his work
　( = He is less slow than lazy at his work)
3、no more… than… 与……一样……，不比……多
　 The officials could see no more than the Emperor
no less… than…　与……一样……
He is no less diligent than you
4、 more than　不只是，非常
She is more than kind to us all
