从事计算机应用技术研究,在空中交通管制核心技术、多传感器信息融合技术等方面的多项重大创新,以及他主持的航空管制、航空安全等方面多项国家和军队急需的重大工程装备的研制。据介绍,游志胜关于空中交通管理技术的科研组从1985年开始启动,直至14年后才取得初步研发成果。游志胜说,他们耐住寂寞的坚持,终于出了成果,这让他继续在这一领域前行。随后,他先后主持研制了我国第一套“航管雷达模拟机”、“程序管制模拟机”、“多通道数字同步记录仪”、“360度全景塔台视景模拟机”、民航主用空管自动化系统、视觉合成虚拟机场系统等。
