Nancy: Can it be a non-direct flight?非直达航班可以吗？Hue: I would prefer a direct flight.我比较喜欢直达的。

Bob: Could you tell him my flight has been delayed?你能不能告诉他我飞机延误了。

Lucy: He’s not going to be happy. He’s been waiting for an hour.他肯定不会高兴的，他都等了你一个小时了。

Bob: My flight isn’t leaving for another hour.我飞机还要等一小时后才能起飞。

Lucy: OK. I’ll let him know.好吧，我会跟他说的。

Bob: Tell him I need to reschedule the meeting.还有，跟他说一声我需要重新安排会议时间。

Lucy: I don’t think I can tell him now.我想我现在无法告诉他了。

笔记：① Flier=flyer（英式拼法）: 飞行员，飞行乘客，飞行物；【美】广告传单。

Frequent flier mile: 里程数，飞行里数积分② lets，let的单三人称加s的用法③ probably ['prɑbəbli]: 可能，大概，或许。

需要注意的是几率很大（至少50%以上）才能使用这词，50%以下概念就用possible/possibly。

Isabel: Please sign up before your next trip. You can earn miles and get a free trip anywhere in the country.那你能在下次出差旅行之前注册一下嘛，注册后你就可以赚里程数，然后就可以兑换机票去全国各地了。

② coordinator [ko'ɔrdn,etɚ]: 协调者，协调人③ quite a few是很多，相当多的意思，也可用quite a bit和not a few，多用于口语中④ sign up：注册，也可用sign in或log in⑤ at the end of the week也是周末的意思，一做weekend的替换词，二口语中放句末为了加强语感。

Hotel Clerk: Hello, Ms. Lee. How can I help?李小姐，你好！我能为你做什么？Hotel customer: I paid for a room with an attached office, but this hotel room has no office.我订的是附有办公室的房型（带“”办公室”的酒店房间见封面），但这个房间里没有办公室。

Hotel Clerk: I’m sorry about that. I will change your room right away.非常抱歉，我马上给你更换房间。

Hotel customer: Great! I’m on a business trip, so an office is important to me.好的，我在出差，办公室对我很重要。

笔记：① complain about: 抱/埋怨，对XXX发牢骚，也可表示“投诉”之意。

② 住酒店之时，说“我是XXX，我住XXX房间”或“我是来自XXX房间的XXX”都用“I’m XXX from room XXX”这个表达。

另，酒店房间号的读法：101读作“one O one”, 112读作“one twelve”……，百位数不读出来，而是分开读。

③ 英语中称呼“女士，小姐”各个词的区别，请大家牢记，别叫错了，不然会叫出问题的。

Mrs.用来称呼已婚女人，一般年龄比较大；Miss.用来称呼年轻未婚女子，年龄小；Ms.是通用的，在不能确定对方是否结婚时就用这词，但多用于书面语（可能因为Ms和Miss读法一样，区分不出来）④ 询问能帮什么忙除了How can I help you，还可以说（How） may I help you, 或者文中的直接how can I help，但老师教的can I help you几乎不用。

⑤ attached表示“附加，连着，附送，附有”，如attached file附加文件，attached list附表，在邮件中就表示“附件”或者“附上XXX”，如you can find our company profile in the attachment或attached our our company profile（附件里是公司概况/介绍）；而比较正式，从法律的角度或口吻则用 enclose herewith XXX】出自：小茶英语口语学习
